Before taking the Final Theory Test (FTT), it is compulsory to pass the
Basic Theory Test(BTT) first.
The Final Theory Test (FTT) has to be taken before obtaining a Provisional Driving Licence (PDL) which allows you to drive on public
roads as an "L" Plate learner with a qualified driving instructor.
The Final Theory Test (FTT) is conducted by the Singapore Traffic Police at any of the driving centres:
-
ComfortDelgro Driving Centre (CDC)
-
Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC)
-
Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC)
The minimum age required is 18. The Basic Theory Test (BTT) applies to foreign driving licence conversions too.
If you are converting your foreign driving licence, you are NOT required to pass the Final Theory Test (FTT).
There are 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) which have to be completed within 50 minutes.
The test is computer-based and is offered in English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil.
Out of the 50 questions, at least 45 (90%) of them need to be answered correctly in order to pass the test.
